The first alteration I want to make on the boat is to rebuild the instrument panel to accommodate a new water temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, ammeter, and tachometer with hour-meter. Since there isnt space for all these gauges in the current panel, and its looking a little worn anyways, I’ll use it as an excuse to make a new one, in a style that the higher class models of the time would have had.

I did some measurements on the area, and headed to the workshop.

Next was to bring the panel to the boat for fitting and trimming

Then back to the workshop for lacquering!

And finally drilling and installing the switches

As you can see from the above pictures, I refinished most of the wood around the panel to take off the old stain and finish and brighten everything up
